It is time for a blog post
all about one of my favourite brands and that is Charlotte Tilbury. If you have
been around on my blog for quite some time or if you used to read my original
blog, you will know that I have always been such a big fan of Charlotte
Tilbury. I have purchased so much from the brand over the years and I have been
lucky enough to be gifted some of their items from time to time. I will admit that
with the constant releases over the past couple of years, I have been overwhelmed
by the amount of new products, but that is why I wanted to sit down today and write
about what I think are the best of the best products and what I would recommend
you go out and purchase as soon as possible and add them to your collection.
Charlotte Tilbury
Magic Cream. Where to start with this amazing item. I picked
this up after having my makeup done once at the Charlotte Tilbury store in
Covent Garden and I fell in love with it. Even though I am oily, I also am
pretty dry and I need a thick and luxurious cream like this for me to help combat
my problem areas. I have worn this every single day under my makeup for years
and years and I would never think twice about parting with my cash for this
Magic Cream.
Charlotte Tilbury Wonder
Glow Primer. This is my second step of hydration every single day
when I am applying my makeup and I really do think that my skin feels grateful.
I just apply small dots of this around my face and rub it in using my fingers.
It helps my skin to brighten up, it looks lovely and my skin is prepped for the
rest of my makeup. I don’t think that you necessarily need to use this and the
Hollywood Filter that I am going to mention next, but I love how glowing and
bright the combination makes my skin look.
Charlotte Tilbury
Hollywood Filter. If you are wanting a glow and for your skin to
look super healthy and glowing, this is the product that you need to be
reaching for and using. I take just a couple of dots of this product and apply
it around my face, I then blend it in with my foundation brush, before actually
going in with my foundation. I find that not only does it make my skin much
more glowing and bright, it also helps my makeup to look much more natural when
I am pairing it with a full coverage foundation.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush
Flawless Foundation. I didn’t buy this for the longest time because I tried
to tell myself that I didn’t need to get my hands on any more foundations, that
was until I saw it and swatched it in person. Once I realised just how
pigmented this Charlotte Tilbury foundation was, I realised that I had to own
it and start using it. This is a much thicker foundation than my everyday Nars
foundation, I know that when I reach for this product and apply it that my base
is going to be in place all day long without fail!
Charlotte Tilbury
Magic Away Concealer. For many years I was on the hype of the
Tarte Shape Tape and as much as I liked it, when I tried the Charlotte Tilbury
Magic Away Concealer and I realised that I could have a lighter texture on the skin,
it showed me what I was missing. If I am going for a lighter makeup look, this
is the concealer that I reach for without question. I am a big fan of the sponge
applicator too because it makes it a great item to keep in my makeup bag when I
am out and about.
Charlotte Tilbury
Hollywood Contour Wand. I used this years back when it was
first released and then when it was empty I didn’t repurchase it, I think it was
because there didn’t seem to be much product in the tube. In my time away from
this item I used some more cream contouring products and even though I liked
them, almost every single one broke me out and that is why I cam running back
to this wonderful item. It helps to chisel and bronze up the skin and I am completely
here for that!
Charlotte Tilbury
Airbrush Bronzer. This is one of my latest Charlotte Tilbury additions
to my collection and I am so head over heels with it. For many years I was mixing
two different bronzers to get my perfect tone, but this just ticks all of the
boxes in my opinion. I am in shade 3, which is tan and I have to admit that it
is simply perfect for me. I have used this daily since I first got it last year
and I have not grown tired of it yet, nor have I thought about buying a new
bronzer!
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar
Bronze and Glow. I feel like this is one of the most iconic things
that you can get from Charlotte Tilbury and I have had it in my collection or
so long. The contour shade is nice, but only really works for me when I am not
super tanned, or you can’t really see it and it can border on looking a little ashy.
It is the highlighter in this palette which is a true winner for me, it
compliments the depth in my skin tone and never looks too overly shiny!
Charlotte Tilbury
Cheek To Chic Blush. Sex on Fire blusher has to be my all time favourite.
Because of my in between skin tone, blusher is something that I always
struggled with up to finding this one. The shade is amazing and compliments my
skin colouring perfectly, it is not too deep, not too pink and doesn’t look
chalky on the skin. I have used this same colour almost daily for probably 5
years and I love it so much. I highly recommend these to everybody!
Charlotte Tilbury
Hollywood Glamour Lash. I bought these on quite a whim, but
these are now my go to pair of eyelashes when I want something a little more
special. They are thick, fluffy yet not too heavy at the same time. I have to
be super careful with my lashes because I have quite small eyes so brands like
Lilly Lashes can be quite heavy on me, but these are perfect. I also had the
same pair for around 30 years and they looked just as good as new!
Charlotte Tilbury
Lip Liners. I thought that I would generalise this category because
I could speak about these forever and a day. I think that my personal favourite
has to be Iconic Nude because it is a great neutral shade for my medium skin
tone. I love how this looks, it applies like a dream and it is comfortable to
wear all day long. I will say that it isn’t quite as long lasting as a MAC lip
liner, but I would rather reapply and it be more comfortable!
Charlotte Tilbury
Airbrush Finish Powder. The reason why I am mentioning this product
last of all is because it is an item that I carry with me every single day in
my handbag for touch ups. I have an oily complexion so I need to set throughout
the day and this is the powder that I always reach for. No matter how much my
makeup may have broken up, this product smooths everything over and mattifies
to perfection. God knows how many of these compacts I have gone through over
the years!
I hope that you guys liked
this blog post and if you haven’t already, I would highly recommend that you go
out and try some of these items for yourself. All of the items that I have
mentioned I have been using and wearing for so long and I know that they are
going to be firm favourites in my collection for many years to come. As always,
I will pop some links to these items down below in case you would like to go
ahead and check them out for yourself. Please do leave me a comment and let me
know some of your favourite Charlotte Tilbury items and if I haven’t already
tried them I will ensure to go ahead and get my hands on them.
